Tiankoura: The Dieburo team emerged victorious against Bombara with a decisive 3-0 win on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the public primary school of Tiankoura, clinching the 15th edition of the ‘Tiankoura Vacances foot’ maracana tournament.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Dieburo’s victory was set in motion early in the match when Ollo Kimpe scored in the 3rd minute. A Bombara own goal in the 7th minute increased Dieburo’s lead. To Tioye’s goal in the 17th minute further solidified the victory. The game was played in two halves of 15 minutes each, drawing the attention of sponsor Ollo Sylas Poda, inspector Sami Tiole of the Tiankoura CEB, and an enthusiastic crowd.
With this victory, Dieburo received a trophy, a set of jerseys, a ball, and an envelope containing 35,000 CFA francs. Bombara, the runner-up, was awarded a set of jerseys, a ball, and 25,000 CFA francs. The teams finishing in third and fourth place received a ball and 20,000 CFA francs, and a ball and 15,000 CFA francs, respectively.
Koko Hien, the competition’s promoter and principal of Tiankoura Public Primary School, expressed contentment with the tournament’s outcome. He stated, “We are organizing this tournament to foster cohesion among young people and to provide healthy entertainment for vacationers. We want to make young people understand the need to strengthen fraternity.”
The tournament, which began on August 18, featured 15 matches with 15 teams competing and resulted in a total of 12 goals scored. “It’s Tiankoura who wins after all,” Mr. Hien remarked, already looking forward to the 16th edition.
