Ouagadougou: The immersed of the CEG Wendkouni, following their visit to the mausoleum of Thomas Sankara, have made a significant contribution to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo by donating two tons of cement. This gesture is aimed at supporting national development with a patriotic spirit.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the group visited the Thomas Sankara Memorial early in the morning to learn about Captain Thomas Sankara and his twelve companions who were assassinated. After discussions with a tour guide, they proceeded to the Faso Mebo site to make their contribution.
Guetikila Abdoul Rachid, the general delegate, explained that this donation was inspired by the teachings received during their immersion stay. He emphasized that patriotism involves contributing to one’s country, even without financial resources, by offering time and effort.
Deputy delegate Nombre Nadiatou encouraged the youth of Burkina Faso to engage with the Faso Mebo initiative, which is spearheaded by President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, as a means to contribute to the nation’s progress.
