Ouagadougou: The Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Fisheries, Commander Ismael Sombie, addressed the participants of the Faso Mebo Holiday Camp, urging them to become role models in their communities following their camp experience.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Commander Sombie was the prominent guest at the second wave of the camp, held on Friday. He expressed his admiration for the campers’ decision to engage in the learning opportunities offered during the event. The Minister highlighted the camp’s aim to instill essential values such as know-how, interpersonal skills, team spirit, and a sense of sacrifice, drawing parallels to the Prytanee militaire du Kadiogo (PMK) and its role in preparing the children of troops for future responsibilities.
Commander Sombie encouraged the young participants to emerge as exemplary individuals, suggesting that their presence should positively impact their surroundings. He underscored the significance of embodying the government’s vision for a new generation of Burkinabe youth characterized by dignity, rigor, seriousness, integrity, and commitment to work.
The Minister also commended the camp for promoting the values of unity and cooperation among children from different backgrounds and social classes, reflecting the diverse fabric of Burkinabe society.
