Tokuroano: A total of five young mothers, comprising four expectant mothers and one nursing mother, are among candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the Tokuroano Centre in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Nathaniel Koomson, the supervisor of the Tokuroano Centre, reported that 327 candidates are participating in the examination. This group includes 152 females and 175 males, highlighting the diverse demographics of the candidates.
The examination process received a morale boost with a visit from the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Safo Nketia. He was accompanied by the Municipal Education Director and the Municipal Deputy Coordinating Director, Mr. Yaw Kanjo. During their visit, they provided words of encouragement to the candidates, reinforcing the significance of education in their lives.
The authorities at the centre underlined the necessity for professionalism among supervisors and invigilators, aiming to uphold the integrity of the examination process. The presence of police officers ensured security and a peaceful environment, further supporting the smooth conduct of the examination.
