Head of Dissihn Basic Education District Urges Stakeholders to Intensify Efforts

Dissihn: The head of the Dissihn basic education district (CEB), Soninuor Meda, has called upon education stakeholders to intensify their efforts, during an oversight visit for the administrative commencement of the school year at school “A” on Monday, September 15.

According to Burkina Information Agency, teachers have resumed duties for the 2025-2026 academic year across the 49 schools in the Dissihn basic education district. The management team undertook visits to ensure the smooth return to school and to monitor teacher attendance.

During his visits to schools “A” and “D”, CEB head Soninuor Meda observed full attendance of the teaching staff. He commended the teachers and supervisors for their achievements last year and urged them to strive for improved outcomes.

“I invite all teachers and supervisors to redouble their efforts this year 2025-2026, which promises to be full of challenges such as the widespread implementation of innovations in all schools,” stated Mr. Meda.

He noted that the supervisory team’s tour confirmed the resumption of the administrative year across all schools within the district. Both principals and teachers are aligned with the head’s vision for the new school year.

The shared goal is to ensure all students in the CM2 class pass the CEP exam and to enhance the proficiency levels of students in intermediate classes.

Despite these efforts, at school “D” in Dissihn, the 4th class remains in temporary accommodation, still housed in a straw hut.
