Honourable Professor Pierre Gomez, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology on Wednesday, 2nd November 2022, met with the Chinese Ambassador in The Gambia at the Chinese Embassy.
The discussion was centred on more scholarships for Gambians and the current awarded students returning to China. Hon. Gomez also spoke about collaborations in the Ministry’s decentralisation process of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across the country.
Also, the Hon Minister talked about the USET Masterplan and how the People’s Republic of China could finance the individual components through the facilitation of the Embassy.
The meeting set the stage for a more collaborative and strengthened endeavour between the Ministry and the Embassy on China’s continued support towards the development drive of The Gambia.
