Ioba: The provincial directorate of youth and employment of Ioba has recorded ten admissions to the 2025 driving license operation, representing a success rate of 100%.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the official graduation ceremony for the graduates took place at the Dano High Commission on Thursday, September 11, 2025. The High Commissioner of Ioba, Innocents Ouattara, presided over the ceremony in the presence of the Secretary General of the province, Andre Lankoande, and the Provincial Director of Youth and Employment (DPJE) of Ioba, Hadou Sanou.
“The province of Ioba has benefited from 10 places out of the 50 allocated to the Djoro region this year 2025 for the driving license operation launched by the Ministry in charge of youth,” explained the DPJE. Classes began in June, and by early September, all 10 Ioba candidates had successfully passed their exams, he continued. “Ioba has a 100% success rate, thanks to the determination of the young people, the experience of the driving school instructors, and the support of the provincial authorities,” Mr. Sanou emphasized.
He thanked the province’s chief executive and its secretary general for their support. The DPJE requested an increase in the number of young people to be recruited for future operations. A beneficiary of the operation, Bourobassorou Some, noted that the learning process was not easy, but everything ended well. “I thank the authorities for the opportunity given to us,” he added.
The representative of the driving school instructors of Dano, Daouda Bouda, welcomed the involvement of the authorities in the success of the training and the passing of driving license exams. He invited the winners to demonstrate exemplary conduct thanks to the knowledge acquired.
According to High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara, Burkina Faso’s highest authorities are promoting the self-employment of young people through the “driving license” initiative. This is a national policy implemented to provide employment for young people, he said. “This initiative also helps reduce the number of traffic accidents,” Ouattara said. “We hope that this certificate will help you find employment,” he added. He congratulated all the winners for their rewarding efforts. Innocents Ouattara thanked all those who contributed to achieving this result.
The ceremony was also attended by the provincial directors of Ioba in charge of sports, Herve Kam, and the director in charge of culture, Casimir Somda.
