Ioba: Frederic Kabore, Nicknamed the AES Cyclist, Hands Over the Confederation Flag to Dano’s PDS


Ouagadougou: Frederic Kabore, the cyclist representing the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), was warmly received by Denis Zanre, president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dano, during his arrival in the Djoro region.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Kabore embarked on a significant journey from Ouagadougou to Kampti, passing through Boromo, Pa, Dano, Diebougou, and Gaoua, with the AES flag in hand to demonstrate support for the organization. His arrival in Dano was celebrated with a vibrant procession, where young residents accompanied him using motorcycles, cars, and bicycles, creating a lively atmosphere with vuvuzelas and horns.



Upon reaching the town hall courtyard, cyclist Kabore was received by PDS Denis Zanre, along with His Majesty Naonfa II, religious leaders, members of the citizen watch coordination, and local defense and security forces. Kabore shared his previous cycling experiences across Mali, Guinea, and Ghana, emphasizing his current mission from Ouagadougou to Gaoua and onward to Kampti.



Kabore reassured the community about the safety and hospitality of Burkina Faso, countering negative narratives about the country. He expressed his intent to pass the AES flag to the municipal authorities in Dano, symbolizing a gesture for future generations.



PDS Denis Zanre highlighted the significance of the AES flag, viewing it as a representation of the unity among Sahel nations and the resilience of their people. He commended Kabore’s efforts and underscored the flag’s deeper meaning as a commitment to shared values and identity.



The welcoming ceremony concluded with His Majesty Naonfa II offering blessings to Kabore and encouraging youth to support his patriotic endeavors. Kabore subsequently presented the AES flag to Denis Zanre, marking a symbolic moment in his journey.
