Nahouri: Members of the citizen watch of the commune of Ziou, a town located about fifty kilometers east of Po, mobilized this Thursday, September 18, 2025, to make accessible a road more than a kilometer long, damaged by the rain. Members of the Ziou community watch group came together to repair the road linking the market to the town hall, a crucial route that had suffered damage from rainwater.
According to Burkina Information Agency, equipped with picks, shovels, and tricycles, the members succeeded in enhancing the accessibility of this important road, which connects several of the community’s services and extends to the first Ghanaian village. The initiative reflects the community’s proactive spirit in maintaining vital infrastructure.
“We decided to repair this important road in the commune because we cannot expect everything from the state. This is also our contribution while we wait for the state to play its role,” said Paul Ouena, head of the Ziou community watch. His statement underscores the community’s commitment to self-reliance and active participation in improving local infrastructure.
