Batie: Three days of work began for the benefit of the members of the Provincial Observatory for the Prevention and Management of Community Conflicts (OPPREGECC) in the conference room of the Batie High Commission.
According to Burkina Information Agency, like other provinces, Noumbiel is not immune to the community conflicts that Burkina Faso is experiencing. In the first half of 2025, the province recorded more than 29 cases of community conflicts of all types, with a resolution rate of 38%.
The high number of conflicts, contrasting with the low resolution rate, highlights the challenges that remain. Individual and collective efforts are needed to create a climate conducive to peace and harmonious coexistence, hence the importance of this training.
According to the High Commissioner of the province, Drissa Hema, the objective of the session is major: “to strengthen the capacities of the members of OPPREGECC/Noumbiel with, in sight, a more or less perfect mastery of the identification of indices, typologies, causes and actors of a conflict,” he declared.
During these three days, participants will benefit from more than seven modules, followed by discussions, and will develop, at the end of the work, an action plan to better prevent and manage community conflicts in the province.
