Ouagadougou to Host Over 500 Bikers for 72 Hours of Bikers Event


Ouagadougou: The third edition of the 72 Hours of Bikers is set to take place in Ouagadougou from September 26 to 28, 2025, with over 500 bikers expected to participate. The event, themed “Motorcycles and responsible citizens: resilience, sovereignty, integration and road safety,” will bring together motorcycle enthusiasts from various countries.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Faso motorcyclists, Adel Azize Konate, announced that the city will host the event, which is a biennial gathering for big bike enthusiasts. Mr. Konate highlighted that the event is organized under the patronage of several prominent figures, including the Minister of State, Minister in charge of Territorial Administration, and the Minister of Security. His Majesty the Mogho Naaba Baongho is also a sponsor.



Mr. Konate emphasized the participation of motorcycle clubs such as Motorcyclists of Faso, West Coast Adventure, West Burkina Bikers, and others. The event will feature bikers from countries including Niger, Mali, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, the USA, and Canada.



He noted that the event aims to highlight the resilience of Burkina Faso and the role of motorcycles in cultural integration. The three-day event will also focus on promoting road safety among Ouagadougou residents.



The program includes several activities such as a city tour, a parade, awareness-raising sessions, a public conference on the theme, an exhibition, and a gala dinner. Niger has been named the guest of honor for this edition, reflecting the regional camaraderie and cooperation.
