Sefwi Akontombra MP Supports Reshaping Roads in Constituency

Accra: Mr. Pius Kwame Nkuah, the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, has supported the reshaping of some community roads in the constituency to help ease commuting within the area. The reshaped road was the stretch along Bawakrom, Mesiba, Torya Junction, Torya, and Kroboline, which served as one of the economic routes for residents in farming communities.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Joseph Appiah, the District Chief Executive, stated that the MP generously donated drums of fuel for the project and advocated the reshaping of roads in the district. The decision to reshape the stretch was in response to appeals by the residents of the district to the MP.

The DCE noted that the MP’s proactive involvement underscores his commitment to improving infrastructure and fostering development to ease the hardship residents face daily due to poor road conditions in the Akontombra constituency. He expressed optimism that the government, particularly the Roads Ministry, would support the constituents and construct all the roads for them.

Expressing their joy and excitement, some residents who spoke to the Ghana News Agency thanked the MP and the DCE for the initiative and said the facelift given to the road would make commuting easier for them.
