The Bissa Taleima Minto Movement Contributes to the Faso Mebo Initiative

Tenkodogo: The Bissa Taleima Minto Movement (MBTM) handed over a large batch of equipment on Saturday, with an estimated value of one million CFA francs, to support the presidential initiative Faso Mebo, led by Captain Ibrahim Traore, President of Faso. The donation was handed over at the Sector 6 site, in the presence of Kiir Bidimpo and a large crowd of Bissa traditional chiefs. The donation consists of 5 tons of cement, 5 dump trucks of sand, 3 wheelbarrows and 5 shovels.

According to Burkina Information Agency, MBTM officials stated that this gesture reflects the members’ desire to actively participate in the country’s development, by contributing to the collective effort desired by the President of Faso. “The movement must move forward so that the different communities and tribes can progress together. We are here this morning to support this initiative, in line with those of the elders,” said Basile Gouba, vice-president of the movement.

For MBTM Secretary General Harouna Zane, the movement is above all a cultural framework dedicated to promoting values in Bissa country. “And when we talk about positive values, it is above all solidarity,” he insisted. Mr. Zane emphasized that the mobilization around Captain Ibrahim Traore’s appeal is proof that Burkinabe are ready to unite to build their country. “The most beautiful woman can only give what she has. We were able to mobilize what we have, and we hope to do even better in the future,” he said.

Returning to the role of the MBTM, he recalled that the movement also works for social cohesion, beyond solidarity. “Our grandparents knew how to live together in diversity, despite the difficulties. It is this heritage that we must preserve in order to build a better future,” he explained. Led by Kiir Wur N’na Kaala, better known as Captain Djindjere, leader of the Bissa diaspora in Cote d’Ivoire, the MBTM defines itself as a cultural movement whose actions contribute to strengthening living together and social cohesion in Burkina Faso.

Through this donation, the MBTM aims to set an example and encourage other communities to join the national movement of solidarity. The ceremony, bathed in a light, beneficial rain considered a favorable omen, was a moment of unity and communion around a common goal: building a stronger and more united Faso.
