Ouagadougou: On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the National Armed Forces, the volunteer for the defense of the Homeland (VPD) from the commune of Di, in the province of Sourou, was awarded the VDP medal of honor with the Bravery clasp, AIB observed on Saturday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this young patriot, who embodies courage and devotion, was the victim of an attack on her locality during which she lost her right hand. Since then, the young heroine has continued to symbolize resilience and love of country.

Felicite Zoungrana expressed her gratitude and satisfaction to the military hierarchy, believing that this recognition demonstrates the country’s unwavering commitment to its sons and daughters. She urged her fellow soldiers to remain strong and resolute, emphasizing that the cowardly terrorist would not stand against their determination.

Like the young Zoungrana, several other soldiers and Volunteers for the defense of the homeland were praised for the sacrifices made to the Nation.
