Accra: Organizers of the Game 11 Football Festival have confirmed Saturday, July 11, as the date for the 2026 edition of the festival, to be held at AIS Park in East Legon, Accra. The event is dedicated to youth development and community engagement through sports.
According to Ghana Web, the Game 11 Football Festival, established in 2017, has become a national movement that nurtures young talent, builds character, and connects communities through sport. The 2026 edition, marking the 5th installment, will feature men's and women's football competitions, a men's basketball tournament, and a car show. Winners will receive cash prizes, with GHS 18,000 for the men's football winner, GHS 5,000 for the women's winner, and GHS 10,000 for the basketball winner.
The festival promises entertaining performances by top music artists, DJs, and MCs. Rap talent 5 Rave will headline the performances, with other activities including a car and bike show. Co-founders Felix Nana Sackey, Perez Cecil, and Nana Boansi Attafuah aim to expand the event's reach across Ghana, focusing on inclusive participation, professional scouting opportunities, and brand partnerships.
President of Game 11, Ivan Kwame Dzansi, highlighted the event's mission to reignite Ghana's passion for football and create pathways for young athletes to excel. Game 11 aims to foster inclusion, discipline, and opportunity by building on Ghana's football heritage and shaping future leaders on and off the pitch.
