African Women Entrepreneurs Summit to Promote Skills in Ouagadougou

Ouagadougou: The African Women Entrepreneurs Summit is set to take place in Ouagadougou from September 4 to 6, 2025, with the goal of providing a platform for women to exchange ideas and promote their skills, as stated by promoter Asnath N’PO on Thursday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the summit aims to provide young African women with opportunities for exchange, training, and development, enabling them to transform their ambitions into tangible projects and achievements. The event is also designed to facilitate intergenerational and professional exchanges among women, showcase female talents through exhibitions and awards, and increase awareness about women’s health and well-being.

Ms. Traore Aminata/Ouedraogo, the event’s patron and a business leader, encouraged women to leverage this opportunity for economic empowerment. She highlighted that entrepreneurship offers pathways to innovation, creativity, and independence, urging women to consider entrepreneurial ventures.

The summit will span three days and will feature panels, exhibitions, and a blood donation drive. Organized by the Young African Women Entrepreneurs (JEFEA) project, the event is themed ‘Women in Leadership and Innovation: Acting Together for a Sustainable Future’.
