Guiriko: A delegation from the Association of Sports Journalists of Burkina (AJSB), led by its president, Ibrahim Diallo, visited the head of the B´b´ Mandarª canton this Saturday, as part of preparations for the 32nd edition of the AJSB Super Cup. The sporting event is scheduled for September 14, 2025, at 3 p.m., at the Wobi Stadium in Bobo-Dioulasso. It will pit Rahimo FC, the reigning champion and winner of the Coupe du Faso, against the Union Sportive des Forces Arm©es (USFA), second in the national championship.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after the customary greetings, Mr. Diallo expressed his gratitude for the welcome extended to the delegation, before officially announcing the date and the competing teams. The canton chief thanked the AJSB for this approach and expressed prayers for the event to take place in peace, security, and with a strong mobilization.

During the meeting, the president of the AJSB presented the chief with a symbolic T-shirt. In a humorous tone, he said: “A Fulani in a bobo village is coming to see my little slaves, and I was very well received because they are obliged to do so,” eliciting smiles.

On the sidelines of this visit, the AJSB delegation met several personalities, including the secretary general of the governorate, representing the governor, the president of the special delegation of the municipality, local economic operators as well as the regional football league. For Mr. Diallo, this mission to Bobo-Dioulasso ended with a “very positive” result. He has already praised the expected public mobilization for the success of the Super Cup on September 14.
