Dutch Ambassador Concludes Mission, Reflects on Bilateral Achievements with Burkina Faso


Ouagadougou: The President of Burkina Faso, Head of State, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAOR€š¬°, received the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Burkina Faso, Her Excellency Mrs. Esther LOEFFEN, as she concluded her diplomatic mission. Their discussions centered on evaluating the bilateral relations between the two nations.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Dutch diplomat expressed satisfaction with the joint achievements during her four-year tenure, particularly in the sectors of water, agriculture, health, and energy, with an emphasis on the youth of Burkina Faso. Mrs. Loeffen highlighted the construction of four solar power plants funded by the Netherlands and the support for health centers in rural areas as significant outcomes of their collaboration.



Furthermore, Mrs. Loeffen mentioned the Netherlands’ backing for the construction of two district hospitals and the anticipated university hospital in Fada. She emphasized the importance of these structural interventions and described an endogenous development approach, which focuses on assisting households and rural communities in their growth and development.
