Accra: A legal practitioner who claims to represent Bishop Daniel Obinim has made fresh allegations amid the ongoing social media controversy surrounding the pastor's marriage to his wife, gospel musician Florence Obinim. In a viral video sighted by GhanaWeb on June 19, 2026, the lawyer, identified as Sarpong, alleged during a live TikTok session that Florence Obinim underwent plastic surgery in Spain.

According to Ghana Web, Sarpong claimed that Florence had a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure that nearly cost her life. Sarpong, who stated that he has served as Bishop Obinim's lawyer for nearly 20 years, asserted that the surgery took a serious toll on Florence's health and further alleged that Bishop Obinim had initially opposed the procedure, but Florence proceeded regardless.

Sarpong emphasized his longstanding relationship with the Obinims, stating, "I have been Obinim's lawyer for almost 20 years. I know Florence and Obinim very well. Obinim has been through a lot, and I can't say everything, but he has endured many things." He questioned the advice Florence received, asking, "Before you went for the BBL, Obinim opposed it, but you still went ahead. Who advised her to do it? When she went through all the trauma in Spain, who spent all the money to save her life?"

The lawyer also addressed rumors about Florence Obinim's mode of transportation, dismissing reports that she does not own a car and relies on Uber. Sarpong described the leaked audio containing those claims as false and added that Bishop Obinim had purchased a house for her in Spain and registered it in her name. He expressed frustration, saying, "So why would you come out and embarrass the man by saying you use Uber? They have called me for a meeting, and when I go there, I will tell her the truth, that what she did was painful and wrong."

Sarpong reiterated the support Florence received from Bishop Obinim, asserting, "We both know what you went through in Spain. Obinim bought a house for her in Spain and registered it in her name."
