Ganzourgou Education Subcommittee Reviews 114 Assignment Applications

Zorgho: The provincial subcommittee responsible for handling staff assignments for personal convenience within the preschool, primary, and non-formal education sectors in Ganzourgou convened in the meeting room of the Zorgho High Commission. Chaired by High Commissioner Ms. Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, the session focused on examining a total of 114 files, which included two compulsory assignments and two transfers.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering commenced with remarks from the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF), who emphasized the dual importance of assignments. The director noted that while assignments are a right for educators, they are also a necessity for students who deserve uninterrupted access to education. The director urged the committee to strike a balance between these priorities to maintain the integrity of the educational system.

Ms. Sorgho/Gouba acknowledged the dedication of the commission members and underscored the need for transparency and fairness in their decision-making process. The committee meticulously reviewed all applications in line with existing assignment regulations. Ultimately, 32 applications were approved, and the list of successful candidates will be published following the signing of the decision by the High Commissioner.

Despite these efforts, Ganzourgou province continues to face a shortage of 102 agents required to meet its teaching demands.
