Sandbondtenga: The President of the Provincial Cell is imbued with the morale of young high school graduates as the provincial patriotic immersion cell, led by High Commissioner Idrissa Gamsonre, visited the immersion sites on Friday, marked by an atmosphere of collective fervor and unity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at each stage of his visit, from the site of the vocational technical high school to the private Wendnongdo high school, passing by the private Sainte Maria Goretti college, the high commissioner and his delegation were welcomed with military salutes and songs sung by young people ready to assume their role as engaged citizens.
High Commissioner Idrissa Gamsonre expressed his satisfaction with the enthusiasm of the young high school graduates in his province. He praised their diligence and determination to get involved in their training, addressing them as new citizens with new mentalities, becoming agents of change.
At the Wendnongdo High School, visitors witnessed a first aid demonstration, showing appropriate actions for traffic accidents and burns. This act, a symbol of the civic spirit that permeates the immersion, reinforced the idea that these young people are now equipped with practical knowledge and useful civic behaviors.
The High Commissioner reminded that the main objective of patriotic immersion is to awaken the civic spirit of young people. He encouraged them to apply the skills acquired both on campus and in their daily lives, actively involving themselves in the transformation of their society.
Idrissa Gamsonre also congratulated the supervisors for their hard work and commitment to training this new generation. He acknowledged their success in transforming these young people and expressed gratitude on behalf of the nation. He also paid tribute to the defense and security forces for their support in this program.
In total, 1,518 young people make up the first class of compulsory patriotic immersion in the province of Sandbondtenga. This one-month training program, coordinated by the provincial unit, will conclude on September 9, 2025, with an official ceremony.
