New Delhi: India celebrated the 76th Republic Day on Sunday with a parade at New Delhi’s historical road “Kartavya Path,” which connects the President House and the India Gate. The event marked a significant moment in the nation’s history, showcasing its cultural and military heritage.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Indian President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute at the National War Memorial. The ceremony was attended by the country’s federal ministers, foreign envoys, and hundreds of spectators who gathered to witness the event.
The 90-minute Republic Day parade concluded with a fly-past featuring 40 aircraft and helicopters, demonstrating the prowess of the Indian armed forces. The parade is an annual event that celebrates the adoption of the Indian Constitution and reflects the unity and diversity of the country.
