Poni: The Gnombre association provided school kits to 33 orphans of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in preparation for the upcoming school year. The beneficiaries are children of those who lost their lives while securing the country.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the distribution took place during a ceremony at the School of Middle Managers in Social Work in Gaoua. Present at the event were administrative and military authorities, alongside the families of the beneficiaries. Da Sie Emile, the national president of the association, highlighted the organization’s commitment to humanitarian efforts, noting their regular engagement in solidarity activities.
Emile stated that this year, the association chose to assist the children of fallen FDS and VDP soldiers by providing them with necessary school supplies. Pauline Guibila, representing the beneficiary families, expressed her gratitude for the association’s support, noting the significant financial burden that the start of the school year can impose on families, particularly those with multiple children. She acknowledged the assistance as a substantial relief.
The Gnombre association, which convenes its members every three years in Gaoua, aims to persist in its efforts to support vulnerable communities.
