Prophet Ogyaba Vows Retaliation Against Bishop Obinim in Heated Dispute

Accra: Prophet Ogyaba has issued a strong warning to his colleague, Bishop Daniel Obinim, declaring that he is ready to repay him with the same treatment he claims to have received when he was at his lowest point. In a snippet of a live video currently trending on social media, Ogyaba vowed to go 'aura for aura' with Obinim, insisting that he will drag him down just as Obinim once did to him.

According to Ghana Web, the outspoken prophet openly admitted to cheating on his wife, drawing a parallel with allegations against Obinim. However, he emphasised that unlike Obinim, he has not made his wife suffer as a result of his mistakes. 'I'm not a saint. I have cheated on my wife, just like you. But the difference between you and I is that I have not made her suffer from it,' he stated.

Prophet Ogyaba claimed that his conflict with Bishop Obinim began when Obinim used his personal case as a sermon illustration in church and later broadcasted it on live television and social media, an action Ogyaba claims tarnished his reputation and nearly caused the collapse of his ministry. 'You used me to preach in your church, you brought it to social media, and also took it to live TV and collapsed my church. You haven't seen anything yet. I will do worse. I'm going aura for aura,' he said.

He explained that after the video circulated, some elders of his church abandoned him without giving him the opportunity to address the situation. Ogyaba added that when he later used Obinim's preaching in his own church, he was labelled a hypocrite, but he insisted that he would not stop because he was only responding to what was done to him.

Ogyaba revealed that the damage to his ministry was so severe that he had to travel to countries such as Zambia and Zimbabwe to preach and rebuild his reputation before eventually returning to Ghana. 'I'm not a local preacher. When that happened and the elders were staying away from the church, I started going to Zambia and Zimbabwe and held programmes there. After I re-established myself there, I returned to Ghana and the glory began to work again. He was strategically using his words to destroy me,' he explained.

He further stated that he is determined to continue his battle with Obinim and warned those asking him to leave the matter in God's hands to stop, arguing that Obinim did not leave it to God when he started the issue. He concluded by saying that he is ready to take the matter to the very end and will give Obinim the same treatment he believes was given to him.
