Jeddah: The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) took part in a virtual coordination meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2026, to prepare for the upcoming OIC Youth Training Program on Cultural Diplomacy and Leadership Development Skills. This event is set to be conducted in a hybrid format on September 3, 2026, in celebration of OIC Youth Day. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the meeting included participation from various bodies and institutions associated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, member states, and representatives from the Republic of Gambia and the Republic of Turkey. A number of experts and specialists in cultural diplomacy also joined the discussions. UNA highlighted its commitment to supporting the program through media and communication efforts, including promoting the event, providing media coverage, preparing and publishing news, and distributing outcomes through its network of news agencies. Furthermore, UNA proposed early coordination with the organizing entities to devise a media and communication strategy that aligns with the program's objectives. This strategy aims to expand the program's reach and underscore the efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in youth empowerment, cultural dialogue, and leadership development. Key topics addressed during the meeting included the completion and adoption of the training program project, as well as logistical and organizational arrangements. The goal is to enhance coordination among institutions and relevant parties, ensuring all necessary preparations are completed for effective program organization.
