Boulgou: The Association of Small Traders of Tenkodogo (ASPC/T) held its General Assembly on Sunday in the meeting room of the Regional Directorate of Sports, Youth and Employment, in the presence of league officials and the president of the Tenkodogo football district to elect a new executive board and revitalize the sports club.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, held under the banner of conviviality and fraternity, allowed for the election of a new 14-member executive board. This renewal marks an important step in the life of the club, with the aim of strengthening cohesion, developing strong partnerships, and flying the association’s flag.
Created in the 1980s and officially recognized on May 25, 1987, the ASPC/T remains a major player in sports development in Tenkodogo, uniting its members around a passion for sport and solidarity.
This General Assembly, which brought together members, supporters, partners and stakeholders from the world of sport, provided an opportunity to take stock of the actions carried out by the outgoing office and to define the prospects for the years to come.
The highlight of the meeting was the election of the new executive board. Participants placed their trust in Elhaj Ali Sorgho, better known as “Ali Trankil,” who was elected president of ASPC/T. A hands-on man with a passion for sports and a commitment to local community life, he expressed his willingness to work “hand in hand” with all stakeholders to meet the challenges.
“We want to build a more dynamic and ambitious sports club, which consolidates its achievements and opens up to new initiatives,” declared the new president.
He thanked his peers for the trust they placed in him and promised to continue his work in line with the values that make ASPC/T so strong: solidarity, fair play, and community engagement.
For Elhaj Ali Sorgho, sport remains an essential lever for bringing people together and building unity.
“Beyond victories, it is brotherhood and team spirit that must guide our actions,” he insisted.
The participants praised the work accomplished by the outgoing board, led by Ouss©ni K©r©, who wished “good luck to the new executive board” so that the ASPC/T “continues to shine on the sports fields.”
The meeting was also an opportunity to amend the association’s texts to better respond to current realities and future ambitions. The rich and constructive discussions allowed everyone to express their expectations and proposals for the club’s development.
This General Assembly, both solemn and friendly, marks a new beginning for the ASPC/T. The history of the sports association, which began with its first president, K©r© Mamadou, continues with a generation determined to write new pages.
Led by its new executive board, the ASPC/T intends to consolidate its place in the regional sporting landscape, take on new challenges, and continue to unite around a passion for sport. Members and supporters reaffirmed their commitment to supporting this momentum, convinced that better prospects are emerging for the club.
