First Class of Patriotic Immersion Program Concludes Amid Celebrations in Gnagna

Ouagadougou: The province of Gnagna vibrated to the rhythm of history this Tuesday, September 9, 2025, with the official closing ceremony of the first class of the compulsory Patriotic Immersion. This program, established by presidential decree on June 24, 2025, aims to instill in young people the values of patriotism, civic-mindedness, and solidarity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the section of the RN 18, opposite the BogandE Environment Department, served as the setting for an unprecedented gathering, marked by the enthusiasm of the young people involved, the pride of the supervisors, and the mobilization of administrative, traditional, religious, and military authorities. An event laden with emotion and symbolism, it was chaired by the High Commissioner of the province, Jean-Baptiste BEogo.

"The Patriotic Immersion is not just a training session, but a decisive turning point in the civic education of the younger generations. For thirty days, the trainees learned discipline, community life, respect for authority, a sense of duty, and environmental protection," said the province's High Commissioner, Jean-Baptiste BEogo.

In his address, marked by gravity and hope, the High Commissioner of Gnagna praised the discipline, courage, and spirit of solidarity demonstrated by those immersed. He invited young people to make this training the foundation of active citizenship and sincere patriotism: "Be young patriots," he insisted.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the end-of-course certificates, a moment of intense emotion where the young people, visibly proud, received proof of their civic engagement, to the flashes of their phones and the applause of their parents and friends.

What followed was a vibrant and colorful parade, a true reflection of the discipline and unity forged during the month of immersion. Impeccable uniforms, patriotic songs, and rhythmic steps transformed the ceremony square into a spectacle of civic duty and national pride.

In a festive atmosphere, the young people immersed in the program expressed their gratitude to their supervisors. In a spontaneous and highly symbolic gesture, they raised their monitors to a standing ovation from the crowd, singing a song of thanks filled with emotion and gratitude.

The BogandE ceremony will be remembered as the starting point of a new era in patriotic education in Burkina Faso. By closing this first class, the Gnagna sends a strong signal to the country: young people are ready to assume their role in building a strong, united, and supportive nation.
