Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of the province of LEraba, Yacouba Sawadogo, chaired the 2nd session of the Provincial Council for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation (COPROSUR) in Sindou. The session aimed at strengthening members' capacities for promoting social cohesion and living together.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was organized as part of the "Strengthening the resilience of displaced and host communities as well as the capacities of local authorities" project, implementing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus in the Tannounyan region. The council members reviewed community conflicts in the province and received guidance on promoting social cohesion.
The discussions culminated in recommendations to achieve the objectives more efficiently. Yacouba Sawadogo expressed gratitude to the NGO CIAUD Canada for supporting the session's organization and urged participants to apply the knowledge gained to fulfill their missions successfully.
