Mouhoun Regional Commission Begins Examination of 1,263 Scholarship Applications

Mouhoun: The regional commission for the pre-selection of Bankui scholarship applications began, this Thursday, September 11, 2025 in Dedougou, a two-day session devoted to the examination of 1,263 applications submitted by candidates. Chaired by the regional director in charge of secondary education in Bankui, Raoul Sanon, this meeting aims to prepare the work of the national school scholarship commission.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Sanon stated that this is an unprecedented process in the region, marked by rigorous and transparent organization. "For the first time, we are implementing a structured mechanism to ensure that every learner, regardless of their background, has access to equitable educational opportunities," he said. The system put in place, coordinated at regional and national levels, pursues the objective of ensuring fairness, transparency, and accessibility of financial aid to students meeting the eligibility conditions set by the texts in force.

For forty-eight hours, the members of the commission will review each file in order to select those that comply, which will be forwarded for validation to the national commission. This step is considered crucial to ensure that the allocation of scholarships meets the principles of justice and equal opportunities and that beneficiaries can use them within the required timeframe during the school year.

Through this approach, the Bankui region intends to contribute to the promotion of equal opportunities and the opening of new educational perspectives for young learners.
