Petit Pimento Triumphs at 6th Maracana Top Vacances Loisirs Tournament


Sourou: The 6th edition of the Maracana Top Vacances Loisirs tournament in Tougan concluded with the victory of Petit Pimento, who triumphed over Racine Football Club on penalties (3-2).



According to Burkina Information Agency, the tournament, held at the Sangoule Lamizana stadium in Tougou, was overseen by the High Commissioner of Sourou Province, Desire Badolo. The event was co-sponsored by Commander Karim Souabo, Director General of the National Fund for the Promotion of Sport and Leisure, and Seydou Boro, CEO of Bopa International Services.



The final match saw Petit Pimento and Racine Football Club (RFC) locked in a tense battle, with the game ending in a goalless draw during regulation time. Petit Pimento eventually secured their victory by winning the penalty shootout 3-2.



Abdoulaye Cisse, the promoter of Top Vacances Loisirs, expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of the tournament despite the prevailing security and humanitarian challenges in the province. He emphasized the role of sport as a catalyst for dialogue, peace, and social cohesion.



Papa Darga du Boulgou, representing the sponsors, commended the promoter for the event’s success. He also acknowledged the efforts of the authorities and security forces for maintaining peace, allowing a safe journey from Ouagadougou to Tougou.



Desire Badolo, the High Commissioner and president of the event, extended his gratitude to the sponsors for their active participation in the province’s activities. He urged the community to engage more in events that contribute to the vitality of the city and the province at large.
