Kampti: The commune of Kampti vibrated this Sunday, August 31, 2025 to the rhythm of the official launch of the 12th edition of the September 6 Cup. This tournament, which brings together 22 teams from several neighboring villages and communes, began in a friendly and sporting atmosphere.

According to Burkina Information Agency, under the theme “Committed youth, a bulwark of hope in the face of insecurity”, this competition aims to combine a passion for football and civic awareness. The opening match pitted Supa Strikers against Nongtaba FC. The Strikers, more realistic in front of goal, won 2-0, setting the tone for what promises to be a tough competition. In the second match, Etoile du Nord comfortably dominated Passena FC with a score of 4 goals to 1.

At the end of these inaugural meetings, the tournament promoter, Evardo Yachine HIEN, expressed his satisfaction: “I am pleased with the smooth running of this opening. I invite all teams to maintain this spirit of fair play throughout the competition,” he said.
