Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe government has taken decisive action by revoking and withdrawing the decorations of 20 public officials from nine ministerial departments. These individuals were recruited or promoted within the civil service based on inauthentic diplomas, as revealed by the recent Council of Ministers’ meeting.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the revocations were the result of a thorough verification process conducted by the Commission for the Regulation of Dysfunctions (CRD) and the Ministry responsible for the Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection. This investigation focused on the authenticity of diplomas and qualifications used for recruitment or promotion in the civil service. The checks uncovered clear cases of inauthentic diplomas, leading to the government’s decision to revoke the implicated officials.
